T.M.S.I. Ltd, is a logistics company specializing in multi-modal cargo transportation between eastern Canada and Newfoundland.  Our operations are based in Dartmouth NS and in Argentia NL.  We wish to employ a dynamic and energetic sales representative for Eastern Canada. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated sales experience, be result driven, and have the motivation to succeed in the transportation industry. 

Job Duties: 

As a sales professional, you will work closely with key members of the company to help develop territory and account strategies to support overall sales growth. 
Identify new business opportunities and strive to develop and maintain strong relationships. 
Manage all phases of the sales process. 
Hands on, team-oriented individual who has an outgoing personality and sense of entrepreneurial spirit. 

 

Requirements: 

Proven track record with a strong focus on new business development. 
Strong acumen in supply chain. 
Ability to interface with all customer levels. 
Strong interpersonal & customer relations skills. 
Strong negotiations skills. 
Strong, verbal, written, presentation skills.  
High passion for sales. 
Self-motivated. 
Fluency in English and French is an asset 
Possess a valid driver’s license and willing to travel. 
Reside in Halifax or in the greater Moncton area.

Ltd, is a logistics company specializing in multi-modal cargo transportation between eastern Canada and Newfoundland.  We own and manage logistics and port terminals, ro-lo ships and a fleet of trucks and semi-trailers.  We have an immediate opening for a dynamic and energetic General Manager to oversee the company’s operations from our Dartmouth location.

Reporting directly to senior management, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated management experience, be result driven, and have the motivation to succeed and grow with the company.

Job Responsabilities:

Manage staff, establish and accomplish business objectives
Recruit, select, train and counsel new employees
Build and promote the company’s image and values
Collaborate with customers, government, community organizations, and employees
Identify new business opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
Cultivate a climate of cooperation
and a healthy work environment for all employees
Develop strategic plans and recommend objectives
Coordinate and manage efforts between all departments
Maintain quality service and customer satisfaction
Collect data and create analytical reports
Perform any and all duties, and put in the time required to maintain good customer service

 

Qualifications/Skills:

Proven leadership skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
Proficient with various IT software including Microsoft Office
Problem solver and decisive
Proven track record in logistics with a strong focus on new business development
Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team setting
Strong interpersonal & customer relations skills.

Willing to travel.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
University/college degree in management a plus.
At least 2 years of successful management experience.
Fluency in English and French is an asset
